It isn't often that I find a hammock that makes me look like a little fella. The owners of this larger than life hammock were the Watkins, neighbors of our friends Elder and Sister Johnson. Brother Watkins knew Sister Southams' father Brother Turner when he lived in Jensen UT.
Elder and Sister Johnson served with us at Heber Valley Camp in 2008. It was a wonderful opportunity for a visit and catching up on everything. They were excellent tour guides and drove us around Vernal and then to Flaming Gorge. Before we left Vernal on Saturday morning we attended a Boy Scout breakfast on pioneer day. But we had to get on the road before the parade.
Flowers like these lined both sides of main street in Vernal Utah. We had never seen this many flowers on a city street before. We heard about it 2 years earlier but had to wait to see them. It was worth the wait.
Our friends Kim and Kerry Hicken of Roosevelt Utah. We had a wonderful visit, thanks for everything.
Well we are on the road again and here we are outside of Roosevelt UT. My friends (now our friends) Kerry and Kim Hicken invited us to the ward dutch oven dinner. This is just part of the Dutch Ovens that were there. Do you Think that we got full ? Oh our aching stomachs, but the food was sooooooo good.
