Vernal Utah

Flowers like these lined both sides of main street in Vernal Utah. We had never seen this many flowers on a city street before. We heard about it 2 years earlier but had to wait to see them. It was worth the wait.

Our friends Kim and Kerry Hicken of Roosevelt Utah. We had a wonderful visit, thanks for everything.

Well we are on the road again and here we are outside of Roosevelt UT. My friends (now our friends) Kerry and Kim Hicken invited us to the ward dutch oven dinner. This is just part of the Dutch Ovens that were there. Do you Think that we got full ? Oh our aching stomachs, but the food was sooooooo good.

Buggy ride in Midway Utah

Going for a buggy ride in midway Utah. Elder Kelly and Sister Penz in the front seat and Jim and Pat Triplett in the back seat. On this particular day Ed (Elder Kelly) had about 17 horses that he owned. He is the Auctioneer on Tuesday up near Brigham city (Willard) and if he sees a horse that he likes he brings it home. The matched team that he is driving are full brothers and he has had them for a few months. It was nice to be among so many great friends.

Going for a little Buggy ride in Midway Utah. Elder Kelly and Sister Penz in the front seat and Jim and Pat Triplett in the back seat. On the day that we took our ride Elder Kelly had 17 horses. The number is almost always subject to change every Tuesday when he goes to the Auction. He is the Auctioneer on that day and if he sees a horse that he likes he brings it home with him.
